The Silent Film series spans four dates from June through September.

Chaplin’s first full-length feature is a silent masterpiece about a little tramp who discovers an orphaned baby and brings him up, but is left desolate when the orphanage reclaims him. Innovative in its combination of comedic and dramatic elements,The Kid is widely considered one of the greatest films of the silent era, and one of the most enduring comedies in film history.

Not to be missed! A special “silent film musical concert” by maestro Bob Merrill, who will accompany the film with live piano score!
Bob astonished the Greensboro audience who were lucky enough to attend last month’s Buster Keaton film.
If you have never seen a Chaplin masterpiece on the big screen, or seen a silent film with live music, you are in
for an unforgettable treat!

The Kid will be introduced by Rob Mermin, with a short discussion after the film.
