HCA and the Covid-19 Virus
A Note to the HCA Community
As part of our continuing efforts to promote the health, safety and well-being of our patrons, performers, artists and staff, and in compliance with the recent state of emergency issued by Governor Phil Scott, HCA will remain closed until April 15. This was a very difficult decision, and not one taken lightly. We take seriously our obligation and commitments to our artists, performers and to you, our audience.
Our current plans include reopening to the public, with access to our gallery, café and box office, on April 15, when we will resume our full schedule of events, including our Lucinda Williams show on April 16. Our website, www.highlandartsvt.org, will remain available at all times for ticket sales, information on upcoming events, classes and for any updates about our planned reopening. You can also follow us on our Facebook page.
The following ticketed shows/events will be affected by our closing: Roy MacNeil and Friends on March 21; Runa on March 28; and Low Lily on April 4. We are working to reschedule the Runa show and all sold tickets will be honored for the rescheduled show. For the Low Lily show, we will issue refunds to all ticket holders. For credit card purchases, refunds will be reflected in accounts within the next 5-10 days. For those who purchased tickets with cash, our box office will be contacting you to arrange for a refund.
Proceeds from ticket sales for the Roy MacNeil and Friends show were to be provided to Roy to defray the costs of his medical treatment. Please consider donating the cost of your tickets to Roy. If you would like to do so, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org; we will contact you to process your donation. All other ticket holders for Roy’s show will receive refunds.
We have also postponed Susan Bull Riley’s exhibition, Intimate: An Artist and the Natural World, including the March 20 opening reception. We will update our website, email list and our Facebook page with news about re-scheduled events and other changes in our schedule.
It is important that our entire community help each other during this difficult time. On behalf of everyone at HCA, thank you for your continued support of the Arts. We look forward to welcoming you back to HCA as soon as possible.
