Peter Gould’s “Get Thee to the Funnery” Shakespeare camp is celebrating its 27th season! This season’s camp will take place outside, under HCA’s Big Tent. Each summer young actors join in the gorgeous Vermont countryside for two weeks of training in an intentional community of theater. Campers learn warm-ups, voice training, and team-building techniques to wake up Shakespeare’s stories and make them leap right off the page. The Funnery is a day camp, a life camp, as fun and energizing as it is inspiring.
Our young Funnery campers make memories that last a lifetime, carrying skills of self-expression and positive self-esteem that they can use in all facets of their lives. The camp culminates with a lively public performance with minimal props and costumes, shared roles and responsibilities, and a genuine spirit of celebration.
