Celebrated artist, Peter Schumann, founder of the internationally recognized Bread & Puppet Theater will present his classic Fiddle Rant around the HCA warming fires. After the performance the audience is invited to visit the Bread and Puppet Press & Cheap Art pop-up store and enjoy bread and garlic Aioli – a long-held practice of sharing sourdough rye with the audience, stemming from Bread and Puppet’s central principle that art is as basic as bread. 

Exhibited along the Open Air Gallery are excerpts from Peter Schumann’s  Bad Bedsheet painting series “Mitigation”, “Handouts”, and “Obligations”, and “Lamentations & Insurrection Resurrection Services”. Also on the trail are a series of painted cement cast sculptures “Lamentation Rd. All contribute to the ongoing Coronavirus emergency theme of: Insurrection-Lamentation-Resurrection.
