Me2/Orchestra

Enthralling and enlightening, Me2/Orchestra is the world’s only classical music organization created for individuals with mental illnesses and the people who support them. The Orchestra serves as a model for how people with and without mental illnesses work together in an environment where acceptance is an expectation, patience is encouraged, and supporting each other is a priority.

The mission of Me2/ is to erase the stigma surrounding mental illness (including addiction) through supportive classical music ensembles and inspiring performances. The  flagship ensemble, Me2/Burlington, was launched in 2011 in Burlington, Vermont. It is a non-auditioned orchestra that rehearses weekly and performs annually in traditional concert venues, inside correctional and rehabilitation facilities, and for mental health events. The organization has grown to include affiliate orchestras across the United States.
