NOTES:

Albinoni’s soulful concerto for oboe and strings adds charm to this program and showcases returning fan favorite, Igor Leschishin’s sensitive oboe performance.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Joseph Haydn were great friends who admired each other’s work. While living in Vienna, the two composers played chamber music with Haydn on violin and Mozart on viola.

Mozart wrote his violin concerto no 3 when he was 19 years old. Haydn wrote the Symphony when he was 42. But there is a common theme of joy and happiness in both works. This year, Caspian Monday Music features artistic director, Solomiya Ivakhiv, who will conduct and perform solo violin for Mozart’s Concerto.
