Caspian Monday Music

Greensboro’s very own concert series returns to the Main Stage with the Caspian Orchestra. This year the program marks the 250th anniversary of the birth of Ludwig van Beethoven. The Caspian Orchestra devotes the full program to Beethoven on August 17, featuring the gracious Concerto for Violin, Cello, and Piano in C major, Op. 56 (commonly known as the Triple Concerto) and Beethoven’s cheerful Symphony No. 4 in Bb major, Op. 60.

Now in its 11th year, Caspian Monday Music is the brainchild of president and artistic director Sir Thomas Zajkowski, who began his musical career at the New England Conservatory in Boston in 1979. Zajkowski’s love of music has taken him throughout the United States, as well as Paris, Berlin, Munich, Warsaw, Krakow and Amsterdam.
