For 20 years, Piper has made art and art objects for the craft and fine art markets and for exhibitions. She has an MFA from the University of Pennsylvania and a minor in Art History. Her work has been in public and private collections in the US and abroad, been featured in The New York Times and American Art, as well as Craft Magazine. She loves the natural form, especially animals and the human figure. She works with gesture and art history-based themes, mostly relating to myth, working primarily with steel and brass.
