Teen Dance Camp

Monday, August 19 – Friday, August 22 | 10AM – 3PM

Dance and perform to your favorite pop songs! This fun week-long modern dance intensive is designed for teens ready to move, perform and have fun. Each morning we will have a modern dance class followed by a choreographic session and rehearsal for our Friday performance. This will be followed by lunch and an afternoon session of rehearsal. Campers will work together with Nathalie to create a final performance to be presented Friday afternoon. No dance experience necessary, just an interest in working hard and having fun!

Nathalie Jonas is a teacher, choreographer, and scholar with over twenty years of experience in her field. She is currently a doctoral student in dance at Texas Woman’s University where she is studying modes of collective performance encompassing carnival, protest, and mourning rituals. Through her writing, as well as her work as a practitioner of dance, she engages with the overall question of adaptation and resilience in the context of political, social, and environmental disruption.  Nathalie is also certified in the Feldenkrais Method.
