Drawing 101

Thursdays: April 9 through April 30.

Learn more about pencil drawing, the foundation to all other artistic mediums and a necessary tool in understanding and developing artwork. This beginning drawing course will focus on how to observe, interpret, and sketch objects with respect to shape, light and shadow, perspective, and contours. Other focus areas will include proper technique, approaches in composition, sketching and drafting – all the building blocks involved in completing a pencil rendering. By using these techniques, participants will learn how to proceed from taking an idea from concept to a finished rendering.
