Thursdays: April 9 through April 30.

This class is designed for all levels and will teach the fundamental techniques, materials and tools of watercolor painting. Students will explore preparation and layout, and begin to examine basic procedures, such as wet on wet, wet on dry and dry on wet techniques and when to use them to complete a composition. Students will use both simple and unusual tools in addition to brushes and discover their varied effects on texture. Other subjects include choice of color, color mixing, masking, and stamping. This class will take the mystery, and the anxiety, out of this medium and encourage the development of beginning artists. Materials list will be provided.

Instructor: Ed Kadunc studied art at the University of Miami and Syracuse University and was a student of Barry Moser. After 25 years in the field of commercial art, including technical and architectural design, creative design, graphic arts, book design and illustration, Ed Kadunc is directing his creative effort in the pursuit of fine art, oil on canvas and pencil as his principal medium.

USE CODE: “artclass” for $20 off when you register for both Watercolors and Drawing 101.
