I have found this pandemic has enhanced my awareness of how grateful I am to live in Vermont and have a studio deep in the woods to paint images of the spirit of nature. Always inspiring for me, but even more so in this time of isolation and quiet. It has created time to go even deeper and take more risks. I have wiped away two large pieces I have spent weeks on two times. Very freeing to have no agenda other than showing up and seeing what happens.
The technique is varnished translucent layers of watercolor on archival claybord. More work and description on my website www.susanwahlrab.com
